She was an author who wrote for several publications and compiled a book of poetry called "The New Pleasing Instructor". Samuel Tenney was a Harvard Graduate, a surgeon for the American Revolution, a delegate to the State constitutional convention in 1788, Judge of the Probate of Wills, a Congressman, secretary of the New Hampshire Medical Society, and a writer of several papers for societies and publications.
