"Nor were all Piscataqua vessels used for purely commercial purposes. During the summer of 1806, for instance, Captain Thomas Spinney advertised "a water excursion on July 4, for eighty gentlemen or ladies up or down the Piscataqua." Mary was the daughter of Timothy Waterhouse. Thomas was a ship-carpenter and they had 3 sons and a daughter who died almost all at the same time. They later had 3 more sons and a daughter. 10 Copyright © 2001 - 2005, Jenn Marcelais. a Soul Oyster Web Studios production. Web Site Design, Development, and Innovation
