Prince and his cousin were sent to America from Africa by his wealthy parents, but they were kidnapped by the Captain they were entrusted to, who sold them into slavery.

He was later owned by General William Whipple, and fought along side him during the American Revolution. More about Prince Whipple, America's Forgotten Patriots.
