On June 22, 1716, he was approved as an innholder (innkeeper) for the house he was residing in at the time. 30

When Salem built a new Watch House in 1712, he carved "a handsome wooden soldier" which was placed on the top of the building. He had placed on the soldier in gold letters "Anne Regina 1712". The Watch House "stood midway of Washington Street on the northerly side of Essex Street." He also carved figure heads for the bows of ships. 30

He was born July 30, 1680 and was the son of Samuel Beadle and Hannah Lemon. He married Rebecca Atwater Jan. 4, 1709-10. She remarried to Samuel Phippen after he died. 30
