You can read a biography on Jude Hall here. It tells of his life in slavery being owned by Philemon Blake then Nathaniel Healy, his near miss by a cannonball at the Battle of Bunker Hill, and a statement on him by his son-in-law, Robert Roberts.

There is an article here from the Exeter News-Letter which tells more about him and the story of his new monument.
