Samuel Greeley was the great, great grandson of the immigrant ancestor Andrew Greele. Samuel was b. at Salisbury, MA, July 7, 1759, the son of Samuel and Judith (Allen) Greeley. He m. at Kingston, NH, Feb. 12, 1783, Ruth Blaisdell. He d. Salisbury, MA, Nov. 25, 1803. Samuel & Ruth had 6 children: Allen, Samuel, Molly, Ruth, Hannah, and Hannah. Samuel was a cabinet maker, and the shop in which he worked was still standing in 1885, on his old place at Salisbury. He served in the Revolutionary War, and was at Valley Forge 1777-1778.
