Here lyes the Remains of the Rev.
Mr. Nicholas Gilman who was Paƒtor of
the Church of Durham where He died
April 13^th 1748 Ætat 41 Eheu quam brevis
He was endowed with many amiable & uƒeful
Accompliƒhments. His Manners were grave
eaƒy and pleaƒant. He was exemplary
in extenƒive Charity and Beneficence
eminent in Piety, Self Denial & Victory
over y^e World. A fervent ƒound perƒwasive
Preacher abounding in the work of
the Lord. He is now departed and
as we hope ƒleeps in Jeƒus. Let us follow
Him wherein He followed Chriƒt.
