Ipswich Quarterly Court, Mar. 1676: John Teny and Rich. Bartlett were fined for absence from the grand jury. 36

Bartlett, Richard, Sen., shoemaker, came to Newbury early. His family Bible is extant, in which he rec. the births of the following ch.: Joane b. Jan. 29, 1610, (m. Wm. Tit-comb,) John b. 9 Nov. 1613, Thomas b. Jan. 22, 1615, Richard b. Oct. 31, 1621, Christopher b. 25 Feb. 1623, Anne b. Feb. 26, 1625; the sons John, Richard and Christopher came to Newbury. [Reg. XI, 192.]
He d. 25 May, 1647. Will (oral) prob. 29 Sept. 1647; John had already recd. his portion; he beq. to Christopher, Joane and her four daus, Richard and John. The latter had the "great Bible." 40
