Interesting carvings ~ Gravestone Angels (aka Winged Death's Heads, Cherubs, Soul Effigies, etc.)

Some of my favorite carvings happen to be the angels carved in the top of many of these graves. These are different representations of the soul's flight to Heaven. They range from winged skulls to curly haired cherubs, and can be quite beautiful.
